Make Grooming a Daily Part of your Routine
If you’re a breeder of long-haired cats, and you want to reduce the amount of shedding, hairballs and mats, then it’s important to make daily grooming a part of your routine. It only takes a couple of minutes to comb through the coat of each cat, and they’ll learn to enjoy it thoroughly. If your cat doesn’t enjoy the grooming process, start slow by just combing under his chin and then offering a treat. Slowly work your way onto other parts of his body while offering his favorite crunchy. Be gentle and patient, and make the experience for both of you rewarding.
This will make for a happier cat with a beautiful coat.
We hope that these tips for grooming long-haired cats have come in handy for you and your awesome cattery. Do you have other tips that you’d like to share? Leave us a comment in the comment section below. We’d love to hear from you.
